Golden State of Mind Site
We worked with PacSun to take their Golden State of Mind brand campaign to the web in a fully immersive online destination. PacSun was looking for a flexible, cross-platform experience that would connect their online presence to their national retail locations. It had to be accessible for their always-on-the-go and notoriously hard-to-engage 18-24 year old demographic. The site experience had to live and breathe California while being flexible enough to change with the seasons and new campaign looks throughout the year.



We created a destination that fit the multi-screen lifestyle of our target audience and served as a unique California-soaked content experience for visitors. We leveraged HTML5 to technically achieve a dynamic, platform-agnostic site. The site quickly presented the user with two options: scroll up to explore the current brand campaign, or scroll down to open a media drawer with instant previews of the most current content in the site - including blog posts, image sets, and live social feeds.

The centerpiece of the site was a live Google Maps integration of the state of California. PacSun and their army of brand ambassadors supplied a steady stream of content from California’s most interesting and inspirational places.

The site was a runaway hit. It enjoyed hundreds of thousands of views and social shares, and the time spent on the site far exceeded PacSun’s expectations.
